Year 4 netball v Plymouth College

Last week, we took a netball team to Plymouth College to play Bee netball. We decided to play the ‘stingers rules’ – 5-aside teams (no WA or WD), 4 seconds to make a pass, 8 ft posts.

It was a wonderful learning afternoon, with coached games. Everyone had an opportunity to play in the different playing positions – GS, GA, C, GD and GK.

Although we rotated their playing positions, we decided to keep both teams shooting the same way all afternoon, which helped them start to understand the different playing areas and the game’s essential rules.

At the end of the match, the score was a 2-2 draw. Well done to both Niamh and Sophie for scoring goals in their shooting positions.
