Who Will Conker All?

The library was a hive of activity at breaktime as pupils at Truro School Prep eagerly lined up to claim their champion conker for the annual Truro School Prep Conker Championships 2025.

The Championships have quickly become a much-loved highlight of the autumn term. They offer our pupils the perfect opportunity to embrace friendly competition, enjoy the outdoors, and celebrate the season.

Beyond the fun and excitement, the Championships provide meaningful opportunities for learning and personal growth. Conker battles, an activity often restricted elsewhere, give our pupils the chance to experience risk in a safe environment. At Truro School Prep, we believe in preparing children for life beyond the classroom, and activities like this help them to develop confidence, resilience, and sound judgement.

Perhaps best of all, the Championships foster a sense of unity across year groups. They spark new friendships, encourage teamwork, and strengthen our Prep community, reminding us that competition can bring us closer together.
