As the year draws to a close, we have been keeping very busy in Truro School Pre-Prep and welcomed lots of new faces for further settling-in sessions ahead of the next academic year.
Nursery had some very special visitors in the shape of ten baby chicks! We asked some brilliant questions and even got to watch them have their lunch. We have been preparing for our Forest School party and making clay pieces.
This week in literacy, Reception wrote a special letter to our new teacher, sharing information about ourselves. In maths, we have been exploring and playing with 3D shapes.
This week in science, Year 1 learnt about the life cycles of plants. We also talked about how plants convert sunlight into food by way of photosynthesis. In literacy, we have been experimenting with similes and many other descriptive techniques.
In maths, Year 2 pupils have been collecting data and presenting it in different ways to help us analyse the results. We have also been using our local knowledge to create leaflets about Cornwall.
