With a frosty morning to welcome us back, it has been a busy, confident and purposeful start to the Spring Term at Truro School Pre-Prep.
In Nursery, we were so excited to share all our exciting adventures over the Christmas holidays, and we introduced our new topic on animals.
We started our first music lesson of the term listening to a “hello/goodbye” song. We used our song bag to choose songs to sing as a group, and took it in turns to pick the songs.
This week Reception pupils have enjoyed welcoming all the children back, and we have introduced our maths energiser.
We have also set up our new ‘Invention Station’ where the children can create their own models and label them using their phonics.
This week in Year 1 science, we are learning about the human skeleton and where our vital organs are.
In Forest School, we are being eco-warriors by collecting litter from our outside environment. We have identified the different materials we found and sorted them into different recycling boxes.
This week in Year 2, we have started our new topic on space. After welcoming all the children back, we shared our holiday news and wrote sentences about all the fun things we did over Christmas.
