It has been another busy and enjoyable week across the Pre-Prep, with plenty of learning, creativity and curiosity on show.
Nursery pupils have loved sharing photographs of their own pets, talking about them together and asking thoughtful questions. We have continued exploring Dear Zoo, drawing our favourite animals and learning more about cats, discussing what we already know about them.
Reception children have been busy in Drawing Club, using their phonics knowledge to write whole sentences. In maths, they have been exploring both 2D and 3D shapes. During Forest School sessions, the class has completed their bird watch and begun learning about the different phases of the moon.
Year 1 has been learning how to split words into syllables, enjoying the challenge of identifying words with two, three and even four syllables. They have also been using this knowledge to support their spelling. In RE, the children have enjoyed learning about the Jewish story of Moses.
In Year 2, pupils have been learning how to measure the weight and mass of different objects in maths. In literacy, they have been reading the fairytale Little Red Riding Hood, using adjectives and adverbs to write vivid descriptions of the main characters.
