Alongside rehearsals for next week’s performances, there has been learning and adventure galore in Truro School Pre-Prep.
In Nursery, we have been learning Spanish, and practised our numbers 1-5. We enjoyed singing a song about the numbers 1-5.
We have also had our Nursery Christmas Day, and what a fantastic festive day we had! We squeezed so many fun activities in, and all the children were brilliant. It was lovely to spend some time together, creating baked goods and decorations. We even had a visit from our reading buddies, who came and read a story to us.
In Reception maths, we have started our Christmas countdown and have been using counters and frames to help us count down the number of days till the end of term and until Santa comes! We have also been practising our letter formation and learning helpful rhymes to guide us with our writing. This week in literacy, we have used our phonics to write a sentence about our part in the Christmas play.
This week, Year 1 had lots of fun on our Victorian Day, where we enjoyed decorating biscuits, making Christmas cards, Christmas crackers and even a Victoria sponge cake. In science this week, we have been identifying and labelling parts of the human body by drawing around our friends.
This week, Year 2 welcomed our Prep School friends into the Pre-Prep to watch the first dress rehearsal of our Christmas play. In maths this week, we have continued learning about time. We have been learning the difference between analogue and digital clocks and drawing pictures detailing what things we do at different times of the day.
