Super Week of Sport

It’s been another exciting week of sport this week for our pupils.

Our Cricket teams season is in full flow, with the U14 boys winning against Richard Lander to go into the finals. This week has also seen four of our teams go to King’s College Taunton, where both boys and girls played fantastic cricket across the day.

1st to 4th year athletes participated in the Cornwall School Games, representing the school in the Super 6, rounders and cricket events. A huge well done to everyone who took part, particularly our 1st Year boys and 2nd and 3rd year girls’ teams who came 1st.

In other athletics news, 1st and 2nd years took part in the Cornwall Schools Athletics Championships showing great courage and determination throughout. The team achieved some great results, including several wins over the different events.

Our rounders teams have also had a busy week with 1st to 4th year pupils competing in games against Redruth school. They had a fantastic evening of rounders, sunshine and smiles.

The U15 tennis team have also had a good week coming 2nd in the Cornwall Tennis League tournament this week. Miss Bickley was very impressed with the players’ consistency across their games.

Well done to all of our pupils for their sporting achievements. It’s wonderful to share so many amazing results.
