Super Sporting Roundup

It’s been another fantastic week for our sports department as this term’s matches are in full flow.

Our U15 boys’ football team have progressed to the semi-finals of the ISFA national cup after a narrow 4-3 win on penalties against Lingfield. A huge thank you to Lingfield for travelling to us from Surrey.

Meanwhile, the U16 team have just been crowned county champions after beating Callington in the finals, coach Mr Hooper commented on how both teams showed great humility, in winning and in losing.

Our KS3 squash team have also had some great games this week competing in their national cup game. The team came up against a number of nationally ranked players and whilst they didn’t quite qualify for the finals, they put in some excellent performances and showed lots of courage throughout.

Commiserations to the U15 netball team who were defeated in a national cup match away to Portsmouth. A sterling effort and the girls represented Truro School extremely well.

Good luck to the U16 rugby team who are playing in their county semi-final today, to our U13 boys’ hockey teams who are competing in the county tournament today and to our U16 netball team who are travelling to Bournemouth to take part in their regional finals!

Well done to all our athletes; we look forward to sharing future achievements throughout this term.
