Sporting Fixtures Get Underway

This week saw the first fixtures of the term in a packed programme that showcased the strength and depth of sport at Truro School.

The 1st XV rugby team opened proceedings against Cornwall College, followed by U16A and U13A rugby against Ivybridge. Hockey and netball fixtures ran through the afternoon, with the U13A and U12A hockey teams facing Truro High on our new astro, while netball sides from U12A to U16A travelled to Redruth School, with the U14As playing at Churston Ferrers Grammar School.

Rugby continued after school too, with the U15A, U14A and U12A sides hosting Redruth, and the day closed with the 1st XI hockey team taking on Truro and Penwith College.

Across the afternoon, pupils from Year 7 through to the 1st XV took to our playing fields and astro, with every fixture driving pupils to build on what they know, meet the challenge of live competition, and come away empowered by it. From our newest recruits to the most experienced squad members, this is what an afternoon of sport at Truro School champions.
