Smooth Sailing: Taster Days for our Island Students

We are delighted to welcome two prospective Sixth Form students from the Isles of Scilly for their Taster Days this week. During their 48-hour visit, they will be immersing themselves in Truro School life, staying with our warm and welcoming boarding community at Trennick and Malvern House.

Their visit began with a warm welcome at the dock in Penzance, where our team was on hand to collect them and ensure a smooth journey to school.

A special thank you to current Scillonian boarder, Arlo, and Spanish student, Carmen, for acting as fantastic guides, helping them navigate the school and feel at home.

We’re very proud of our long-standing partnership with Scillonian families. Since 1893, Truro School has been a trusted home-from-home for pupils from the Isles of Scilly, and we look forward to continuing this special connection for many more years to come.
