In a beautifully decorated chapel, Senior pupils have been giving thanks for the harvest and learning about the “seven days of creation” in an assembly led by members of the Eco Committee.
With a focus on appreciation, values, and sustainability, the Eco Committee invited all pupils to join them in supporting their work on eco-initiatives within our school community.
So far, the pupil-led committee have celebrated school-wide successes, including building a pond, leading Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) Pupil Power Assemblies and beach cleans, promoting recycling and battery recycling, attending the Power of 10 Festival and initiating communication with our local MP about the School Travel Plan.
At the end of the service, our school chaplain, Rev Helen, invited all pupils to give thanks for the harvest and bring their donations for Newquay Foodbank, which will be collected and taken to the charity next week.
