Lower Sixth students impressed family and staff alike as they took over the kitchen for an unforgettable evening, preparing a full three-course dinner – complete with canapés and desserts – as part of their Seasonaires training.
Held in our purpose-built Cookery School, the event gave students the chance to demonstrate the skills they’ve developed over three terms as part of the Seasonaires course, an element of the Sixth Form Diploma. The Diploma offers a wide-ranging framework of supra-curricular, personal growth, leadership and service opportunities, complementing the A-Level programme.
Designed to prepare students for future roles in ski chalets, yachts and similar environments, the Seasonaires course equips them with real-world culinary and hospitality experience. Our state-of-the-art cookery facilities, featuring individual workstations and a professional demonstration area with overhead camera, help students gain confidence and flair in the kitchen.
Head of Cookery Mr Rosenthal praised the students’ efforts, calling it “an amazing night for all.” Congratulations to our student chefs for showcasing such impressive skill and composure under pressure and for serving up a truly mouth-watering evening.
