Families and pupils gathered at Truro Methodist Church for an evening of song, story and festive magic at Truro School Prep’s Twelve Days of Christmas Concert.
Mr Morse opened the celebration with a warm welcome and a thoughtful introduction to the origins and symbolism of The Twelve Days of Christmas, inviting everyone to reflect on the traditions and joy woven through the well-loved carol. He also shared his excitement for the launch of the new Truro School Music Project, which you can read about here.
Guided by Mrs Renshaw, the audience was taken on a lively journey through each of the twelve days, brought to life through creative performances, poems and reflections read by pupils. Every year group contributed their own interpretation, supported by wonderful performances from the Truro Prep Orchestra, vocal and house ensembles, musical groups and the Prep Choir.
As the voices of our pupils filled the church, the atmosphere was a beautiful reminder of how music, storytelling and shared celebration bring us together. There was even a special guest appearance by a jolly fellow in a red suit to complete the festivities. It is true to say that the evening captured the spirit of community, imagination and festive joy that defines our school family.
We would like to thank Mrs Renshaw, Mr MacQuarrie, Ms Cad, and all the staff whose hard work made the evening possible. A special mention goes to all of our musicians, readers, soloists and singers. The confidence, creativity and enthusiasm shown by every pupil were outstanding. It was clear how much dedication had gone into bringing this celebration of The Twelve Days of Christmas to life.
