It has been another successful year for pupils studying LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) at Truro School, with nearly 85% achieving a Distinction in their examinations at the Senior School and every child at the Prep achieving the highest grade.
The results reflect the dedication and commitment of all those involved, as pupils across a wide range of grades rose to the challenge and delivered exceptionally high-standard performances.
Claire Rawlinson, Teacher of LAMDA, said of the results, “I am so pleased and proud of all the pupils at the Prep and Senior Schools, who worked exceptionally hard. The standard of LAMDA exams at Truro School continues to rise each year. LAMDA plays a vital role for young people in today’s society, helping them to develop communication skills, creativity and confidence.”
From Entry Level through to Gold Medal (for which, a Distinction is worth 30 UCAS tariff points), pupils demonstrated not only technical skill but also resilience, independence and a willingness to embrace new challenges. Their success is a testament to the supportive environment at Truro School, where pupils are encouraged to express themselves and grow in confidence both on and off the stage.
Congratulations to all pupils who took part in this year’s LAMDA examinations, and thank you to the staff and families who continue to support their journey.
