Music Entertains Age UK at Royal Cornwall

What a wealth of wonderful sounds in the Age UK Tent at this year’s Royal Cornwall Show. 

Age UK are working with Truro School to encourage inter-generational engagement with many projects in development, involving musicians, charity teams, eco-sustainability teams and many more.  

Last Saturday, we were invited to provide the music for the Age UK tent at the Royal Cornwall Show, where 500 people had been bussed in from around the county to enjoy the show. Whilst people were enjoying refreshments, we had our ‘Celtic Chords’ perform their lively folk music, followed by Ella, one of our Choristers, singing her own collection of beautiful medleys. All our musicians were applauded for their talent and for their politeness and smiling faces as they enjoyed every moment of the experience.  

Our thanks go to pupils Ella, Buzz, Kes, Mikey, Oliver, Josh – and our Director of Music Mr Osmond, who assisted the performers along with Rev Helen. A delightful afternoon was shared by all, and we are looking forward to next year already.
