Junior Strings Perform at CMST Concert

Five members of Truro School’s Junior Strings were invited to perform at the annual CMST Superstrings concert at Truro Methodist Church on Sunday.

Isaac, Kit, Zara, Noah and Finn joined string ensembles from across Cornwall, having prepared their pieces during regular rehearsals before coming together on the day for a full afternoon rehearsal.

The demanding rehearsal was followed by a play-through performance for families and friends, where the pupils impressed with their focus and musicality.

Miss Leigh praised the group’s efforts, saying it was “a wonderful opportunity for them to contribute to the wider community,” adding that they “worked incredibly hard throughout the long afternoon and did brilliantly.”

The concert celebrated young string players from across the county and provided a valuable performance experience for the Junior Strings musicians.
