Inspiring a Love of Early Reading

Our fantastic Pre-Prep team recently welcomed parents and carers for a session on early reading, offering a valuable introduction to how we nurture literacy from age 3 and up at Truro School Pre-Prep.

The event provided an insight into our early years curriculum and the rich variety of texts and stories children explore during their time in the Pre-Prep.

At Truro School Pre-Prep, we are passionate about giving every child the best possible start. Through our dynamic phonics programme and literacy-rich curriculum, we build strong foundations in reading and language while encouraging curiosity and confidence. Alongside this, our focus on developing gross and fine motor skills helps prepare even our youngest pupils for the joy of writing.

From our exceptional, coeducational, teacher-led Nursery to the end of Year 2, our Pre-Prep provides a nurturing and stimulating environment where children flourish, setting them on course for a lifetime of learning success.

During the morning, you will have the opportunity to discover why our Nursery and Reception settings will provide the perfect first step for your little one. You will also be able to explore the rest of the Prep School and take part in a number of activities throughout the morning.
