On Wednesday afternoon, our intrepid band of Year 3 volunteers picked apples as the first stage of a fundraising project to support the West Country charity, Farms for City Children. The charity, founded by Michael and Clare Morpurgo, gives disadvantaged children a chance to connect with the natural world and learn more about where their food comes from.
Truro School Prep is supporting Farms for City Children as one of our chosen charities this term. Having picked the apples, pupils will be making chutney to sell at the Christmas Fair. We look forward to sharing more about these endeavours as the term progresses.
