Early Years Open Morning Shines

It was a pleasure to welcome so many families to our Early Years Open Morning on Saturday 15th November 2025, where our Nursery and Reception classrooms were alive with curiosity, conversation and joyful exploration.

Visitors were invited to meet our staff and discover how our Early Years provision offers the ideal foundation for learning and development. With teacher-led learning at the core, complemented by purposeful play, our Nursery and Reception classes introduce early phonics, maths and writing to ensure every pupil begins their educational journey with confidence.

It was wonderful to see young children feeling instantly at home as they explored our inviting indoor and outdoor spaces. Families enjoyed speaking with some of our amazing Year 5 pupils who have been at the school since the Pre-Prep. There was also plenty of time to talk to classroom and specialist teachers and tour the Prep with Mr Morse to see our swimming pool, sports hall, library, DT room and the many facilities even our youngest pupils access as part of life here at Truro School Prep.

Throughout the morning, we were delighted to hear such positive feedback from families. One visitor summed up the atmosphere beautifully, sharing, “This is a truly special school. You can feel it. I’m extremely impressed, and we can’t wait for our journey to start here.”
