Over the last few weeks, our pupils and students have been out exploring and learning new skills through their DofE Practice Expeditions for their Gold and Silver Awards.
53 of our Lower Sixth students, teams teams in total, spent four days on Dartmoor completing their Gold DofE Practice Expedition over Easter; they developed their teamwork, organisation, and resilience throughout. They especially enjoyed their wild camp with a beautiful sunset on night three! All teams did extremely well, and we’re very excited for their Gold Qualifying Expedition next month in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons).
Also, a huge well done to our 4th Year pupils who completed their Silver practice expedition on Bodmin Moor recently. With 14 teams in total, they carried all their kit for the three days, navigated their way across the moor, and worked brilliantly in their teams. They had great weather and made some fantastic memories! We are now looking forward to their qualifying expedition on Dartmoor next month.
Thank you to all our staff and volunteers who supported throughout; this couldn’t happen without their support.
