Celebrating Our Values Award Winners 19.06.25

Congratulations to this week’s Values Award winners, who were recognised during our whole school assembly for their outstanding contributions and embodiment of our school values.

Mr. Johnson led the assembly with a celebration of the many exciting things happening across the school, with a special spotlight on sport. He introduced us to a fascinating and lesser-known game of  Real tennis, also known as Royal tennis.

Unlike modern tennis, Real tennis features asymmetrical racquets, a handmade cork ball, and a court full of quirky angles and unique rules – enough to boggle the mind! He also shared the curious story of an 800-year-old drinks cabinet that plays a surprising role in the game’s rich history.

It was a fun and inspiring assembly that reminded us of the joy of learning something new and the importance of celebrating each other’s achievements.
