Boarding Roundup 10.10.25

It has been a busy and fun week for our boarders! At the weekend, the group headed to Cornwall Football Golf. This innovative game follows the same rules as golf, but instead of using a club, players kick a football into oversized holes, navigating obstacles like trees and bunkers that add strategic challenges to the course. Our boarders rose to the occasion, with Serhii, Jago and Jaden earning a place on the podium.

Malvern was a hub of activity on Saturday evening, with some of the boarders hosting a fun evening of hot pot and games, whilst others made some delicious ice cream sundaes.

We awarded September’s ‘Boarder of the Month’ for Malvern House to Emilia G, for embracing everything that Truro School has to offer. Whether it is badminton, swimming, sports psychology, helping at Open Events, performing music, or speaking in Chapel, Emilia participates in everything, and always with a smile, maturity, and kindness. Well done, Emilia!

Throughout the week, a selection of our international boarders led an assembly to the whole school, to celebrate ‘European Day of Languages’. The theme for this year was ‘Languages open hearts and minds,’ which highlights the power of languages to connect us, inspire new ideas, and broaden horizons. Sixth Form students Lise, Emilia, Stanley, Guill, Andrii and Alberto, read texts and prayer in their native tongue. We are extremely proud of their confidence and courage throughout the week.
