Our brilliant, budding Year 1 historians fully immersed themselves in all things Victorian today at Truro School Pre-Prep. Dressed in their Victorian finest, from chimney sweeps to stately lords and ladies, the pupils enjoyed a range of activities that spanned the day.
The Victorian Day launches Year 1’s new topic, which will continue into the New Year. It was a fantastic way to spark curiosity around the subject, as children made mini Victoria sponge cakes, sandwiches and biscuits to eat at their afternoon tea party, and crafted Victorian Christmas cards and crackers. With games and other activities sprinkled throughout the day, it was a memorable, fun and engaging beginning to their studies.
