1st & 2nd Year Swimming Gala

First and second-year pupils welcomed visiting teams to the Swimming Pool this week for a friendly inter-school swimming gala organised by Miss Bickley and Mrs Raines. Teams travelled from Hayle Academy and Redruth School to participate in the competition on Tuesday lunchtime.

Pupils from the first and second years competed in the mixed 25m front crawl relay, individual 25m front crawl, breaststroke, butterfly and paddleboard. Points were awarded for each heat with relays attracting double points.

Congratulations to all the competitors; they swam beautifully, cheered loudly and demonstrated great sportsmanship.

Third place was awarded to Hayle Academy with 64 points, second place to Redruth School with 111 points and the winners were Truro School with a score of 124.
