The Guy Dodd Bursary Appeal

To honour the passion and vision of this inspirational educator, wonderful husband, father, grandfather, friend and wise counsel to countless others – we launched the GUY DODD BURSARY AWARD APPEAL in late 2020.

Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can change lives. Esse Quam Videri.

Take a moment to read about the Guy Dodd Bursary Appeal in full below:

Guy Dodd was Headmaster of Truro School from 1993 – 2001. During that time Guy raised funds to establish the Truro School Endowment Fund. In 2015, former Headmaster, Andrew Gordon-Brown, approached Guy asking for his guidance and wisdom to help find a group of passionate individuals who together could form a Board of Trustees and raise funds for transformational bursaries. From their vision the Truro School Foundation was created and today over 100 children at Truro School receive bursary assistance, supported by the School and Truro School Foundation.

“I alert you to the Guy Dodd Bursary Award Appeal, should you be keen and able to support it in any way, in what I and the Foundation recognise are challenging times for us all. We strive for a bursary system that both puts an arm around those in temporary need, and gives a leg up to those who otherwise could not reach.”

Andy Johnson, Head

All gifts, no matter how great or small, are vitally important.
