Truro School is rolling back the decades this November with a Vintage Fashion Festival in aid of Age UK Cornwall. On Thursday 12 November, the School will host an evening celebrating fashion from the 1960s to the 1990s, with live music, film clips and entertainment, all raising vital funds to help people live and age well in later life.
Sixth Form models and volunteers will showcase pieces on the catwalk, with hair and makeup provided and a vintage advisor curating the evening through a catalogue of sizes, illustrations and fashion notes. Guests can make an offer on their favourite items and give them a new home.
Doors open at 6.30pm, with general admission tickets at £10 and free entry for under 16s. There are also a number of VIP tickets available at £25, which include a period feast from 6pm and the chance to buy clothes and accessories before the main audience arrives.
If anyone is able to donate items for the event, organisers are looking for high-quality clothing, shoes, handbags, gowns, evening wear and accessories from the 1960s to the 1990s, which can be dropped off by 31 October at Age UK Cornwall hubs in Truro, St Austell, Falmouth and Newquay. Please label items VINTFEST 2026. Collection can be arranged by emailing [email protected].
Tickets are available here for what promises to be an evening of fabulous fashion, music and fun in support of Age UK Cornwall.
