This special collaboration sees pupils from Truro School performing alongside CMST musicians drawn from schools and communities across the county, creating an event that showcases the breadth, diversity and vibrancy of Cornwall's young musical talent. Together, these performers represent hundreds of hours of dedication, rehearsal and artistic development, supported by teachers, families and the wider community.
Throughout the evening, guests will be invited to experience music in a variety of forms and settings, from intimate ensemble performances and archival displays that celebrate Truro School’s rich musical heritage, to innovative collaborations that blend tradition with contemporary creativity. The event also highlights the exceptional work of the 50-strong Superstrings ensemble, whose musicians, aged 8 to 16, exemplify the ambition, enthusiasm and enjoyment that music brings to young people across the region.
The Ode Experience is a celebration of connection: between schools and communities, past and present, performers and audiences. It reflects a shared belief that music has the power to bring people together, build confidence, nurture creativity and create memories that last a lifetime.
We are delighted to welcome you to this inaugural event and invite you to join us in celebrating the achievements of these remarkable young musicians and the enduring partnership that makes opportunities such as this possible. Welcome to The Ode Experience.
