St Mawes Welcomes Truro Cathedral Choir

The Truro Cathedral choristers, together with the back row of Truro Cathedral Choir, travelled to St Mawes for their annual carol concert in the chapel, kindly organised by the Hotel Tresanton.

On arrival, the appreciative audience was treated to a rich programme of traditional Christmas favourites alongside more modern compositions, many of which were discovered for the first time. Proceedings opened with a beautiful solo from Thomas in ‘Once in Royal David’s City’, before the audience was invited to join in with the remaining verses, alongside other much-loved Christmas hymns throughout the concert.

The St Mawes Chapel is always a special place in which to sing, and always puts the Cathedral Choir in the perfect spirit for the busy Christmas season they have ahead of them. Grateful thanks go to Mr A-B and Mr Wyatt for their superb conducting and accompaniment on this wonderfully festive occasion.
