Be a Senior Chorister for a Day

We were pleased to welcome pupils from near and far for our Be a Senior Chorister for a Day experience, a wonderful opportunity to discover life as part of Truro Cathedral’s prestigious Chorister programme.

The day began bright and early in the Music Department, where guests took part in a morning rehearsal alongside our current senior choristers, getting a glimpse into the dedication and teamwork that go into preparing for cathedral services. From there, visiting pupils were paired with school “buddies” and immersed in the Truro School day, experiencing lessons, meeting teachers, and enjoying lunch with their new friends.

In the afternoon, the group made their way to Truro Cathedral for a guided tour, tea, and a special Evensong rehearsal, before being joined by the full cathedral choir. The day concluded with a moving Evensong service, where parents were invited to hear the pupils’ voices fill the magnificent space.
