Boarding Newsletter – Summer Term 2026

As another successful year of boarding comes to an end, it is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on what has been a busy, rewarding and memorable year for our boarding community.

Across both Trennick and Malvern, our students have embraced everything that boarding life has to offer. From surfing, coasteering, climbing and karting to beach trips, shopping excursions, Christmas celebrations and countless weekend activities, there has been no shortage of opportunities to try something new, build friendships and create lasting memories. There have been plenty of laughs along the way too, along with countless searches for missing items: sports kit, uniform, chargers… the list goes on!

Most importantly, thank you to every boarder for the kindness, humour and support you show one another every day. It is these moments, often the smallest ones, that create the welcoming, caring atmosphere that makes our boarding community feel like home.

Boarding is about so much more than accommodation. It is about developing confidence and independence, supporting one another, celebrating success and creating a genuine sense of belonging. It has been a pleasure to watch our students grow throughout the year, academically, socially and personally, and to see the resilience, compassion and friendships that make our boarding community so special.

To those leaving us this summer, thank you for everything you have contributed. You have helped shape our community, and we hope you leave with many happy memories of your time here. We are especially proud of our Upper Sixth students as they move on to university and exciting new opportunities. We wish you every success and happiness in the future. Please do keep in touch—we always enjoy hearing what our former boarders are doing, and you will always receive a warm welcome if you come back to visit.

My sincere thanks also go to our outstanding boarding staff, whose dedication, care and enthusiasm make such a positive difference every single day, and to our parents and guardians for the trust and support they continue to place in us.

Finally, thank you to every member of our boarding community for making this another fantastic year. On behalf of the entire boarding team, we wish you all a wonderful, relaxing and well-deserved summer. We look forward to welcoming many familiar faces back in September for another year of friendship, fun and new adventures.
