Old Truronian Roger Taylor CO67 was one of the star guests at the Last Night of the Proms recently, alongside Sir Brian May, giving their first ever symphonic performance of their rock operetta, Bohemian Rhapsody.
Roger and Sir Brian joined the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the BBC Symphony Chorus to bring a new orchestral arrangement to the Royal Albert Hall, as the song celebrated its 50th anniversary.
Roger is the second Old Truronian to perform at the Last Night of the Proms (as far as our records show). Benjamin Luxon (TS 1948-55) was the first man to sing Rule, Britannia! in 1982, and again in 1988.
