Jesus Christ Superstar Set to be Stellar

Rehearsals are now well underway for Truro School’s production of Jesus Christ Superstar, which takes to the stage at The Ode from Wednesday 18th to Saturday 21st November.

Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s rock musical follows the final days of Jesus Christ through the eyes of Judas Iscariot, who grows increasingly uneasy about Jesus’s growing influence and sets in motion the events that lead to the betrayal, trial and crucifixion, all told through an iconic score including Superstar, I Don’t Know How to Love Him and Gethsemane.

The cast brings together pupils from Year 7 through to Sixth Form, supported by a live orchestra and a dedicated team working behind the scenes on lighting, sound and technical production. This will also be the first production staged in the newly refurbished Assembly Hall in The Ode, making it an exciting moment for the school’s performing arts.
