As excitement builds ahead of their trip to France after half term, our Year 6 pupils made the most of our stunning Cornish coast with a surf day at Gwithian Beach. The Year 6 surf day is a much-anticipated highlight as their time at Truro School Prep begins to draw to a close.
Led by Makai Surf School, pupils donned their wetsuits and headed into the waves, ready to challenge themselves and have fun. The session catered for everyone, from those tentatively testing the water to more confident surfers eager to catch their next wave.
It was a joy to see confidence grow throughout the day, with plenty of smiles, laughter and determination on display. Set against the backdrop of Gwithian’s stunning sands, the experience was a fitting celebration of a fantastic final term and a reminder of the unique opportunities our Cornish location provides.
