Bronze DofE Celebrations

Congratulations to the 105 Year 10 pupils who have this week received their Bronze DofE Certificates for completing the award in Year 9.

As part of their Bronze Award journey, pupils have completed a qualifying expedition, along with volunteering hours and physical and skills sections. The expedition itself is a significant challenge, often the first time pupils have navigated, hiked, cooked, and camped entirely on their own.

The school is recognised as a centre of excellence in the South West for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. This is an optional but very popular program within the school and each year many pupils achieve their Bronze, Silver or Gold Award.

Pupils typically complete their Bronze award in Year 9, Silver award in Year 10 and Gold award in Year 12.
