Holocaust Memorial Day Commemoration at Truro Cathedral

A group of Truro School Sixth Form pupils represented the school at the Holocaust Memorial Day Service of Light held at Truro Cathedral on Tuesday 27 January.

The service formed part of the annual Holocaust Memorial Day commemorations and brought together schools and members of the wider community to reflect, remember and learn. Truro School was invited to play an active role, with Lower Sixth English students sharing thoughtful reflections on the theme Bridging Generations, inspired by poetry and literature. The pupils prepared their contributions under the guidance of Miss Overend.

Those taking part included Millie B, Erin D, Evie D, Pina (Emilia) G, Farrah I-D, Will J, Malik S and Mabel W. Upper Sixth student Noah G also contributed to the service through music, performing alongside Mr Osmond.

The pupils are to be warmly commended for their sensitive, reflective contributions and for engaging so positively with this important event within the wider community.
