With rain stopping play on the annual visit to Truro Methodist Church, our Truro School community gathered in the Chapel for the final service of the term. Led by Rev Helen, the service was a joyful blend of music, with performances from the new recorder group, the Chapel band, Chamber Choir and readings from our Sixth Form and wider-pupil body.
During the service, our pupils, staff and students were invited to wander into a Narnia-style wardrobe to discover some of the joys we associate with Christmas. With stockings representative of fun, food and presents, when we dug deeper into the wardrobe, we discovered the crib scene; the true joy of Christmas for the Christian community.
With ‘Step into Christmas’ playing on exit, it was the perfect way to end the term and begin the holidays. A huge thank you must go to Rev Helen for all of her tireless energy and enthusiasm, having hosted so many special events this festive season, bringing light and joy into our school community.
