Our incredible Year 7 pupils showed great confidence and courage as they stood together against bullying. Each class led their own composition in their year group assembly, to help inspire others to take a stand.
7G opened proceedings with a brilliant poster encouraging everyone to stand against bullying. Signed by each member of the form, it was a pledge to unite to support each other in our school community.
7H then took to the stage in a fantastic short play about bullying that considered all of the roles involved in bullying, from the ringleaders and reinforcers to the bystanders.
This was followed by a punchy rap from 7K, with lyrics including, “words cut deep, sharper than knives, but peace hits harder, when we change lives.”
Closing the assembly, 7L shared their improvised piece on what to do when we witness bullying, with 7J leading a moving segment on how even the littlest of stings from bullies can have a big impact on an individual.
With Anti-Bullying Week 2025 taking place from Monday 10th to Friday 14th November, with the theme: Power for Good, we feel confident in our Year 7 anti-bullying ambassadors leading the way.
