Truro School Prep pupils were treated to an afternoon of friendly rivalry and outstanding musical talent at the House Music Competition.
With Mr Osmond, Director of Music at Truro School, on hand to adjudicate, pupils showed great courage and confidence whilst performing to classmates, teachers and parents, many of whom were chanting and clapping along with performers, fully immersing themselves in the entertainment.
A variety of music instruments and genres were on display, including performances on the violin, clarinet, drums, piano, trumpet and voice. Mr Osmond congratulated all of the performers on their pieces and offered some words of advice to each to improve their performance for next time.
Mrs Renshaw, Head of Music at Truro School Prep, remarked, “I am astounded by the talent of all pupils. It was an excellent way to start the school holiday. It was incredible to see so many pupils take on complicated pieces and spend hours rehearsing”.
Commended musicians were: Maya, Connie, Hugo, Gabriel, Wilbur and Ollie, with Hugo being crowned the overall winner.
Congratulations to everyone who took part, and for all your hard work rehearsing to deliver such confident performances on stage.
