Mr Butterworth’s class was treated to a geometry lesson that made maths a piece of cake last week.
Pupils were tasked with calculating the area of the sector cut from a jaffa cake. They were then required to measure the radius and angle of the slice, showing their workings and their answer to the nearest 2 decimal places.
Those who managed the challenge were rewarded with being able to eat the treat. The class agreed that it was a fantastic approach to their learning, but were left divided in the great cake vs biscuit debate.
