Year 6 Diploma and Breakfast Celebration

Our Year 6 pupils marked the end of their time at Truro School Prep with a special breakfast celebration, welcoming parents and carers to share in this important milestone. It was a wonderful morning, filled with laughter, conversation and the chance to reflect on the friendships, achievements and experiences that have shaped their Prep journey before they move onto Year 7 in September.
The celebrations continued with the Year 6 Maths Careers Fair, a key part of the Year 6 Diploma. Pupils spent several weeks researching a wide range of careers, from a Royal Air Force pilot and a gardener to a film director. Applying their mathematical skills to real-world scenarios, they explored topics such as salaries, budgeting and mortgages before proudly sharing their findings with parents and carers. Their enthusiasm, knowledge and confident presentations showcased not only their mathematical understanding but also the creativity, curiosity and communication skills they have developed throughout their time at Prep. We were incredibly proud of the maturity and confidence they demonstrated as they shared their work with parents, peers and younger Prep pupils.
A huge thank you to Mrs Bluck and her team for organising such a special breakfast and to Miss Ryder for leading the Maths Careers Fair. Together, these events provided the perfect opportunity to celebrate our Year 6 pupils and we wish them every success as they prepare for their exciting journeys ahead.http://> https://www.truroschool.com/latest-news/a-broader-education-key-stage-2-at-truro-school-prep/
