On Saturday, 12 February, seven of our talented musicians took part in the Young Musician Competition organised by the Cornwall Rotary Club, as part of their Centenary Celebrations. There were two categories, under 18s and under 14s and Truro School was represented well. All of the performers played and sang with style and confidence.
Isaac won the under 14s category with his sublime violin playing and Kai was the runner up with some superb piano playing. In the under 18s class, the standard was exceptionally high and the adjudicator had a very tough decision. In the end, he decided to award two runners up places to Bryher and Luke.
There was some very generous feedback from the general public who were amazed at the level of musicianship of the pupils from Truro School. Well done to everyone involved.
