Our Year 5 pupils continued their study of separation methods as they looked into chromatography in their Science lessons this week. Having explored filtration and magnetic separation, they investigated how to separate pigments using a solvent.
Pupils used water as the solvent to separate the colours in different inks; with some colourful results created.
The students were then tasked with showing their understanding of the scientific process through their write-ups, which included a scientific drawing, method, results, and conclusion.
