With the Nativity plays taking centre stage this week, our Pre-Prep pupils have been very busy.
Nursery has found time to be messy and creative in making Christmas decorations. We also had lots of muddy fun in the woods during forest school.
This week in Reception, we have welcomed a new arrival! We have discovered a baby fish has hatched in our fish tank, and the children have named him Baby Jesus. We have been practising our handwriting this week by writing Christmas cards and have also been making Christmas stars.
This week in science, Year 1 has been learning how to take care of our teeth. We learnt about the causes of tooth decay and how sugar turns to acid. We also experimented to see what effect acid has on calcium. We have been learning all about the origins of The Christmas Story in RE.
In Year 2 art this week, we have been learning the techniques of how to print press. We have been printing characters from an illustrated book by Kazuno Kohara. This week, we are busy with the final preparations for our Christmas performance, and we are looking forward to welcoming all our grown-ups to watch us.
