Our Prep Year 4’s have been stretching their volcano knowledge with a brilliant talk from Senior Lecturer and Volcanologist Dr James Hickey.
During the virtual session, Dr Hickey broke down the intricacies of Volcanology in a fun and interesting way to help our young learners expand their learning.
Dr Hickey is a geophysical volcanologist and member of the Active research group. His primary research interests are in the processes controlling the dynamics of active and restless volcanoes and the geophysical signals they produce, with an overarching aim of helping to improve eruption forecasting capabilities
A huge thank you to Dr Hickey for joining us!
