Year 7 Willow R: Persistently kind and compassionate to her peers. As just one example of her unfailing consideration for others, yesterday, realising that some classmates had not eaten lunch due to a mix up, Willow offered to give them her own sandwich.
Year 8 Ottilie L: For making some excellent contributions and suggestions on how the Pupil Charter should be amended to reflect the current pupil cohort.
Year 9 Amelia S: For the work she did over Easter for her History project, researching a WW2 plane. Hers was really detailed, beautifully presented, and it also included family photos, flight logs etc from WWII- a really impressive display of creativity and curiosity.
Year 10 (Year Group not in Assembly – in Year 10 Exams)
Year 11 Naomi H: Proactively sought support on first break time of new term to run through a specific area of the course work. Superb approach to learning and being fully prepared for upcoming exams.
Year 12 Matilda R: A big thank you to Matilda Roach for supporting the maths Masterclass at the weekend. She did a fantastic job of running the ice breaker activity for 35 pupils from schools across Cornwall and supporting the maths team in the classrooms on Saturday morning. We really appreciate the support of our Sixth Form Prefects when it comes to these sorts of events.
Year 13 Noah G: Noah has displayed a quiet confidence through his time at Truro School, balancing his academic excellence with a continued commitment to the Music department. Noah has been awarded a Music Scholarship by the Vice Chancellor of Bristol University, alongside his offer to read Mechanical Engineering. This is a fantastic achievement.
