This fortnight, we are delighted to recognise several pupils for their outstanding efforts with the Truro School Values Awards.
The Awards are in recognition of pupils and students who display the core values of curiosity, compassion, courage, confidence, and creativity. These values are central to life at Truro School, and it is always a pleasure to celebrate those who showcase them in their day-to-day school experience.
We are proud to share the following recipients:
Year 7 – Jowan R
For Confidence and Curiosity. Jowan competes at a very high level in gymnastics and has shown enormous resilience in combining this with school life, with a consistently positive and committed attitude. He has also been very proactive in seeking support to help him to succeed even further in his sport. He is an inspiration!
Year 8 – Lexi C
For being a great team player and always having a fantastic ‘give it a go’ attitude towards so many aspects of the school day.
Year 9 – Joseph T
For performing a brilliantly entertaining character in a Drama lesson, where his precision, physical comedy and timing were hugely impressive. He performed in front of the class with great confidence and creativity, helping to encourage others to also step out of their comfort zone.
Year 10 – Bea N
For consistently high academic performance and for always showing a positive, happy start to each day, especially when ploughing her way through another epic-length book, as part of a Ten Tors group (completing 45miles this time), or during her organisation of “Stride”.
Year 12 – Elodie V
For supporting a Year 11 pupil before an exam, offering a sympathetic and reassuring ear, and calming her nerves before the exam.
Year 13 – Daniel F
For displaying maturity and compassion towards the catering staff.
