Guillermo, a 2nd Year boarder from Spain, recently spoke to our A-Level Spanish students and shared a glimpse into his life and heritage in Valencia. He shared fascinating insights about Valencian, the regional language of his hometown, highlighting its distinct grammar and vocabulary, which sets it apart from Spanish. Guillermo brought along several language and poetry books, which sparked interest among the students, who observed similarities to French vocabulary.
Guillermo shared that he is enjoying his time in the boarding house and his English has improved immensely during his time here. Academically, he is passionate about chemistry and art, and in his free time says he loves playing football.
Thank you, Guillermo, for sharing your enthusiasm for your home and cultural insights with our students.
