Scuba for our Sixth

As part of their Diploma, Sixth Form students have been diving into an exciting new challenge – an introductory Scuba Diving course with Dive UK.

Held in the Truro School swimming pool, the sessions provide students with a hands-on introduction to diving, covering essential skills such as breathing techniques, safety procedures, and equipment use. Under the expert guidance of instructors Dan and Dive Master Kate, students have been put through their paces in the water, building confidence and technique.

This fun and engaging introduction also opens the door for students to pursue their PADI Open Water Certificate with Dive UK. Achieving this qualification would allow them to dive anywhere in the world.

These Sixth Form Diploma sessions offer a well-rounded experience, alternating between scuba diving and free diving, giving students a taste of both disciplines.

A huge congratulations to the students who took to the water in full kit for the first time for their try dive – an exciting first step on their diving journey!
