Truro School proudly welcomed pupils from primary schools across Cornwall for the much-loved ‘Recorders Rule’ concert in the Chapel.
The concert was the culmination of a collaborative project between Cornwall Music Services Trust (CMST), Truro School, and local primary schools. Throughout the day, students took part in workshops where they learned pieces specially written for them by our team, building their skills and confidence in preparation for the performance.
With 57 recorder players from six different schools, including six of our own students, the Chapel was filled with bright, uplifting music. The concert also featured a special moment when Raff, Year 8 at Truro School, performed one of his Grade 5 solo pieces, inspiring the younger students to keep practising and aim high.
It was a joyful and inspiring afternoon of collaborative music-making, showcasing the talent and dedication of all involved. Well done to the fantastic pupils who took part, and thanks to all the staff and helpers who made it possible. The concert was a wonderful reminder of the joy, confidence, and community that music can bring, and we look forward to welcoming even more young recorder players in the years ahead.
