Local author gives creative writing talks and workshops

The English Department and the Library invited local author Clare Owen into school this week to talk about her new book.

Clare talked to the 3^rd Years about her recently published first YA novel, ‘Zed and the Cormorants’ which is set in Cornwall, reading abstracts from some chapters and explaining how she came up with her plot and characters. She also ran a creative writing workshop with pupils from the 5^th Year and Upper Sixth as part of their ‘bridging’ activities into their next educational steps.
